Changing an Item's Primary Case

The Change Primary Case feature found in the Actions menu will allow you to select a new Primary Case related to the Item(s) you have selected.


Simply select an Item(s) and click Change Primary Case from the Actions Menu.


You will now see the Change Primary Case pop-up screen.
Remove Old Primary Case From Item(s) is selected/checked by default.


Enter a valid Case Number and when that Case appears, click in the blue Case Name/Number field.


If you enter an invalid Case Number/Name, you will receive the message shown below.


Note: When changing an Item’s Primary Case #, moving an Item from one Case to another, or if an Item is in more than one Case, we do NOT change or edit the item numbers!
You can edit your item to get the item numbers in line but this is not automatically done.
