Tools \ Storage Location Move
Nav Menu » Tools \ Storage Location Move
From the Nav Menu on the left-hand side of the screen, select the Tools icon (it looks like a wrench), then from the menu select Storage Location Move.
You are now on the Storage Location Move screen. From here, you can Move Storage Locations like Containers and keep their structure.
You may also Apply Chain of Custody entries for all Items being Moved such as when a Container is moved.
Not only can you Move Storage Locations within an Office, you may now Move a Storage Location such as a Container across different Offices!
To Move a Storage Location or Container, you must know where they're currently located.
Click the dark circle with the white down arrow in the Source Location row, or simply enter a forward slash '/' in the Source Location field.
Next, find the location where your Storage Location or Container is.
In this example, the location is a Container named 21-0319 located in the Containers folder.
If you're Moving a Storage Location or Container to a different Office,
click the Destination Office dropdown to reveal another Office you can Move the Storage Location or Container to.
Next, click the dark circle with the white down arrow in the Destination Location row,
or simply enter a forward slash '/' in the Destination Location field if this is an Inter-Office Storage Location Move.
Next, find the location where you would like your Storage Location or Container to ultimately be stored.
In this example, the Destination Location is Cabinet A/Shelf AA1.
When you're done making your selections, click Save.
If you go into Tools \ Storage Locations, you can see that the Container in this example was Moved.
Here is a sample Chain of Custody Report showing when an Item was initially entered into the system.
It was then put/Moved into a Container called 12112020
After that, it was Moved to a Storage Location called Storage Room A
Finally, the Container was Moved to Building X.
